Services are funded through Florida Medicaid waiver programs when authorized via insurance carrier, or through private pay and other approved funding sources when applicable.
Safety is ensured through client-centered care planning, caregiver supervision, adherence to service limitations, incident reporting, and continuous monitoring. Safety starts with a care plan that clearly explains what help is allowed and needed. Caregivers follow this plan closely so they do only what is approved and safe. Caregivers are taught how to notice and report problems, such as changes in behavior, safety risks, or concerns in the home. Comfort Care uses ongoing communication, supervision, and incident reporting to address concerns quickly. This helps keep clients’ protected, supported, and comfortable in their homes while respecting their independence.
Family members and representatives are encouraged to participate in care planning, communication, and service coordination. Family members are an important part of the care team. They help share information about the client’s needs, routines, likes, and dislikes so services feel comfortable and familiar. Family members can talk with Comfort Care staff and the Case manager about goals, schedules, and any changes that may be needed. They also help notice when something is not working or when the client needs more or less help. This helps ensure care stays respectful, client-centered, and safe while supporting the client’s independence.
Services may be provided in private residences, assisted living facilities, or other approved community-based settings, as authorized by the Medicaid waiver or insurance carrier.
